A Stride of Elegance

Fares has been present in the Emirates for over 30 years. It is a local menswear brand that specialises in the manufacturing of men’s sandals that are handmade in Italy. The brand also offers men’s tailoring and everything that a local man would need for his attire from head to toe. Fares is a brand that is rooted from Bedouin heritage bridging the past into the present. Our role was to rebrand the Fares of our youth and transport it to the Fares of today. The old Fares logo always had a horse which was somewhat nostalgic to the brand. The name Fares means knight in Arabic and hence, our design concept falls not so far from the bedouin’s tent in the desert where everything is minimal and clean. Black and white are the colors of the brand that sit against a continuum of pure lines. The symbol remains rich and classic in its etched style capturing an energetic bedouin on his Arabian steed.
