The “Poetry of Architecture” limited edition gift book is a visual and tactile journey through Nikken Sekkei’s core philosophy. It is an open window into their culture and vision where traditional Japanese arts blend with the contemporary world, and the result is just as blissful as a Haiku poem. In Japanese tradition, the number 8 is considered to be a holy and lucky number, representing a wish for prosperous business growth and longevity. Therefore, this book intentionally holds a collection of 8 items each highlighting the company’s values: Legacy, Integration, Diversity, Cycle, Quality, Sustainability, Craftsmanship and lastly, Independence, represented in the calligraphic form of the Japanese 8 on the box resembling Mount Fuji in its resilience and determination.
