A Uniquely Vibrant Trio

Triptychs have often been associated with artistic, literary, or musical works intended to be appreciated together. Triptych Café is a mobile food truck that combines food enjoyed within an artistic and musical ambience. The design of the brand was inspired by Mughal miniatures, which featured organic forms, floral motifs and were gilded in bright colors. In certain manuscripts and miniatures, lines of text would be enclosed in scalloped frames referred to as “cloud bands”. Here, the calligraphic logo takes direct inspiration from those manuscripts in the Nastaaliq style they’re known for. While the logo takes on a more traditional form, the visual language and patterns developed become vivacious contemporary triptychs in their own right.
